Giving Back to Community is Our Commitment
National Institute is proud donor to many charitable organizations and sponsor of community events.
Our philosophy at National Institute is to recognize the needs of the surrounding communities and take action to address those needs to the best of our ability. We are determined and enthusiastic about giving back to the community. Whether it is helping the underprivileged, supporting a cause, or simply supporting local events, National Institute passionately pursues its social responsibility.
Below, we outline some of the outreach programs you might get involved with as a student at National Institute and depending on your area of study. The programs are always changing along with the needs of our community!
Trillium Health Partners Outreach Program
Since 2023, our outreach students have been providing massage therapy to nurses, doctors, and staff across all three Trillium Health Partners hospitals. This ongoing initiative has not only enhanced the well-being of healthcare professionals but has also created a valuable networking environment for our students. Through hands-on experience in a hospital setting, students develop their clinical skills, build professional relationships, and gain insight into interdisciplinary healthcare collaboration. This program continues to foster growth, learning, and support within the medical community.

Kensington Health Student Massage Program
Our outreach students provide compassionate massage therapy to elderly residents at Kensington Health, offering care and comfort to individuals of all abilities and health conditions. Whether residents are in wheelchairs or have mobility challenges, our students are dedicated to creating a soothing and inclusive experience tailored to each individual’s needs. This ongoing initiative not only enhances the well-being of seniors but also allows students to develop hands-on skills in a supportive healthcare setting. Through this program, we promote relaxation, dignity, and connection, fostering a nurturing environment for both residents and future healthcare professionals.

Community Living Student Massage Program
Our outreach students provide soothing and supportive massage therapy to elderly individuals within Community Living facilities, ensuring care and comfort for residents of all abilities. Whether clients have mobility challenges or require additional support, our students are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive experience tailored to their needs. This ongoing initiative promotes relaxation and well-being while allowing students to gain valuable hands-on experience in a community care setting. Through this program, we foster connection, dignity, and holistic wellness, enriching the lives of both residents and future healthcare professionals.

Canadian Massage Conference (CMC) Student Experience
Each year, our students have the opportunity to attend the Canadian Massage Conference (CMC), gaining valuable exposure to the industry while networking with experienced RMTs and professionals in the field. This annual event allows students to explore new techniques, connect with like-minded practitioners, and engage with businesses that support the massage therapy profession. By participating in CMC, students expand their knowledge, build professional relationships, and gain insights that will help shape their future careers in massage therapy.
