Indian Head Massage Certificate Course Overview
The Indian Head Massage Certificate Course is designed to advance your career in Massage Therapy or career in healthcare. While no prior massage therapy knowledge is required for this certificate, you may want a new career in Massage Therapy. For full massage therapy certification, take a look at the Massage Therapy Diploma.
Get ready to learn through equal parts theory and hands-on training! You will learn all about the art of Ayurvedic (Indian) Head Massage through lectures and practice on real people.
The Indian Head Massage is based on the traditional Ayurvedic healing system created in India. The head, more than any other part of our body, represents who we are. It is the centre of our nervous system and home to our identity and intelligence. The Chakra at the top of our head (Crown Chakra) is the one we use to communicate with our higher self. If our head feels good, we feel good.
Treatment begins in the upper back, then moves through the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, and finishes with the face. Your work will stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems, which improves the body’s ability to remove toxins from tense muscles. Your client will feel more relaxed, flexible, and fluid in movement.
Skills and topics that you will learn during this course include:
- Indian Head Massage Technique
- Improving Tension Headaches
- Sinus Symptoms
- Reducing Eye Strain and Stress
- Resolving Neck & Shoulder Aches
