The Advanced Aesthetics curriculum is approved by the Ontario Ministry of TrainingColleges and Universities and Career Colleges Ontario. You will graduate with a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetics.

Advanced Aesthetics Career Profile

As an Aesthetician, you will unleash your creativity to make clients feel youthful, beautiful, and happy. You will also be called upon to help manage pre-diagnosed skin conditions such as acne or eczema. Ultimately, you are a master of skin care techniques and will regularly recommend the right beauty products for your client.

An Aesthetician may also be called a Skin Care Therapist, Esthetician, Beautician, Electrologist, or Cosmetologist. You have a wide-range of tools and products available to you including lasers, wraps/peels, creams, makeup, massage, nail care, hairstyling, and waxes. As well, you have many career paths and specialties you can develop from retail to product development to spa management.

Aestheticians are in-demand and can work in many settings. Some common work places include:

  • Owner or Manager of a Spa/Salon
  • Theatre, Film, and Fashion
  • Hotels, Resorts, and Cruise Lines
  • Beauty Product Brand Retail, Manufacturing, and Distribution
  • Skin Care Clinics
  • Health, Medical, and Wellness Centres

National Institute is proud to have one of our very own Advanced Aesthetics Diploma graduate students of 2015, Sheryl Rinaldi to compete in the 2016 Mrs. Canada Globe Pageant. During our 2015 graduation ceremony, one of our leading companies in the field of Aesthetics, Dermalogica awarded Sheryl Rinaldi for the Outstanding Student of the Year Award.

Sheryl is currently Mrs. Mississauga Globe. As Mrs. Globe, she is an official spokesperson for domestic abuse awareness.

The Mrs. Globe organization since 1996 has been providing programs of recovery and empowerment through the WIN Foundation that have been recognized by Hillary Clinton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the United Nations Women and other world figures and international media. The programs include rehabilitation program for women who have suffered domestic violence (via our Right Living Program); our empowerment programs that address responsible drinking and responsible dating on college campuses (Raise Your Standards); and our newest anti-bullying high school program (Cure our Campus). Mrs. Globe has been able to assist over 10,000 women and children each year.
