Pharmacy Assistant Program Enrolling Now

This program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

As a Pharmacy Assistant you will handle the essential administrative, clerical, and customer service duties that keep a pharmacy running efficiently. Working under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you play a hands-on role in filling prescriptions by counting, packaging, and labeling medications, alongside maintaining the pharmacy’s overall inventory by ordering supplies, managing stock levels, restocking, and doing deliveries.

The National Institute Pharmacy Assistant program follows the official NACC Pharmacy Assistant 2024 curriculum. This course meets the requirements to become a Pharmacy Assistant in Ontario.

Pharmacy Assistant Class Length Breakdown

  • The Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant Diploma typically takes 44 Weeks.

  • The Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant Diploma typically takes 51 Weeks.

The Pharmacy Assistant course requires 1,095 accredited hours to complete. Which will include theory study, practical hands-on lab practice, and job shadowing in a pharmaceutical environment.

Entrance Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent; 18 Years or Older; English Proficiency.
A Medical Form Completed by a Doctor.
Recent Vulnerable Sector Check & Criminal Record Check.
